Diving Koh Phi Phi, Thailand November-December 2004. Filmed when I, as instructor at Frog Lake. The stay was terminated by the tsunami. Phi Phi dive sites: - Marine Park: We usually go to the Bidah islands and the towns around Maya Bay (The Beach), but we also have several other alternatives. Bidah two small islands (Bidah Nok / Nai Bidah), which we swim around and see almost always, leopard sharks, schools of squid and tons of other reef fish. Some Maya Bay, we have some beautifulCrossings, lion fish, titan triggerfish, turtles and black tip reef shark. - King Cruiser Wreck / Phuket Shark Point / Anemone Reef: The King Cruiser is a 85m long car ferry that sank in May 1997 after crashing into the only rocks between Phuket and Phi Phi (Anemone Reef). Before you were able to penetrate the wreck through the car deck, but the roof has collapsed in several places. The wreck has a special atmosphere (like a ghost town) and many large lionfish, scorpion fish and other reef fish. --Hin Daeng / Hin Muang: This is the website to see big fish! The locations are beautiful underwater pinnacles, 70 kilometers from Phi Phi, where we usually see manta rays, giant moray eels, great barracuda and sharks. This is also the site with the most frequent whale shark encounters. Even without the big fish, this is an excellent location in every respect. www.helgeroe.com
